This book inspired me in a whole new way.......
#1) The Law of Value-Your true worth is determined by how much you give in value than you take in payment; give away more value than you get paid for.
-The first question: Does it add value to others?
-Does it serve?
-The point is never to get paid more but to GIVE more.
-All the great fortunes in the world have been created by men/women who had a greater passion for what they were giving, their product-service-idea, than for what they're getting.
-You give-give-give because YOU WANT TO. Its not a strategy its a WAY OF LIFE.
#2) The Law of Compensation-Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them; your compensation is directly proportional to how many live you touch.
-Its not just a question of value its a question of IMPACT. If you want more success find a way to serve more people.
-"Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve." -Dr. King
-Don't let old belief systems get in the way. Being broke and being rich are both decisions.
-Energetic. Enthusiastic. Curious. Interested.
-Relish in the opportunity to survive-save-serve
Survive-meet basic living needs. Save-go beyond your basic living needs and expand your life. Serve-Make a contribution to the world around you.
-Network-An army of personal working ambassadors that know you, like you, and TRUST you. People who are personally invested in seeing you succeed because you're invested in seeing them succeed.
-STOP KEEPING SCORE. When you base your relationships on who owes who what thats not being a friend thats being a creditor.
#3) The Law of Influence-Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people's interests first.(my personal favorite law)
-Watch out for the other guy. watch out for his/her interests. Watch his/her back. Forget 50-50. 50-50's a losing proposition. the only winning proposition is 100%. FOCUS ON THE OTHER PERSON'S WIN. Watch out for other people's needs and you'll get what you need.
-The love to give. Thats why they're genuinely attractive. Giver's attract. And thats why the law of influence works, it magnetizes you.
#4) The Law of Authenticity-The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.
-10% technique/skill and 90% WHO YOU ARE.
-People Skills-liking people-caring about people-being a good listener.
#5) The Law of Receptivity- The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving.
"At an instant, all over the globe, all of humanity is breathing in oxygen and breathing out carbon dioxide. So is the rest of the animal kingdom. And right now, at this instant, all over the GLOBE, the BILLIONS and BILLIONS of organisms of the plant kingdom are doing the exact opposite-they're breathing in carbon dioxide and breathing out oxygen. Their giving is our receiving, and our giving is their receiving."
